Regina McCrary and Dave Pomeroy

On the 3rd of August we welcomed three highly acclaimed musicians from the USA to join us in worship.  MARK ALLEN, a Nashville-based musician, hosts the PBS series "Have Guitar Will Travel World". The show takes viewers on a musical journey around the globe, exploring how local music traditions express a region's cultural identity. Mark founded Atlanta's Benchmark Productions in 1992 and ran the ASCAP studio in Nashville.  DAVE POMEROY is one of America’s most established and respected musicians, whose multi-textured career has spanned recording, performing, producing, charity work and band leading. He is the Vice President of the American Federation of Musicians.  Grammy Award-winning REGINA MCCRARY has established a dazzling recording and performing career that continues to honour the musical legacy of her father, the Rev. Samuel McCrary, founding member of the Fairfield Four. Her collaborations are a who’s who of musical legends. She currently performs with her siblings in The McCrary Sisters. You could say it runs in the family.

This was a fantastic service, amazing musicians and uplifting singing which was enjoyed by a  very large congregation , and the good news is they will be back again next year.
